Have you heard about Malaysia? Yet maybe some of you heard about it but for the people who don’t know where it, Malaysia located in South East Asia. Malaysia is just above from Singapore. What can one do in a country in South East Asia? Yet since 1997 more than 16 million tourist who visit Malaysia every year. In 2007, the total number of tourists reached to 26 million, one of the highest since the beginning of the 21st century. You may wonder how Malaysia able to attract so many tourists. A key to that answer is the myriad of activities one can do in Malaysia. Whether one is a tourist staying or a local living in Malaysia, there are many types of leisure activities to do: outdoor activities, visits the historical sites, city and cultural tours, eating and shopping sprees. We will focus mainly on different kinds of leisure relax activities that one can do to enjoy in Malaysia.
Malaysia may be a developed country but it has many spectacular places that one can visit during their vacation in Malaysia. For those who enjoy outdoor activities, Malaysia has many to offer to old and young, the adventurous, and those who prefer a quiet, serene walk. In Malaysia, outdoor activities mean visits to beaches, reservoirs, nature reserves and wildlife sanctuary, gardens and parks. One the greatest wonderful places Malaysia have as an island situated at Kedah, one of the states in Malaysia. Langkawi Island has beautiful clean beaches and water clear crystal that would mesmerize tourists. A part of that the island resorts and public amenities are one of the attractions for tourists visit to that island.
Besides beaches, there are nature reserves and wildlife sanctuary and hill station for those who enjoy greenery, plants and wildlife watching. The Zoo Negara of Malaysia and The National Rainforest of Malaysia have taken great care to preserve and protect these places and wildlife that are endangered species so that they are relatively untouched or destroyed by the developments. Cameron Highland and Mountain Kinabalu are a must for those enjoy trekking. There is challenging yet not strenuous hence allowing trekker to take in and appreciate the tropical and fauna. The top of it offers a paranomic view of the reserve and parts of Malaysia especially when early morning of dawn.
As for those people who enjoy a quiet walk, there are many parks or gardens throughout the Malaysia. Parks and garden in Malaysia are usually hot spots for joggers, runners and brisk walker. Besides that, it also a spot for people to have a picnic with their family or friends cause the gardens giving one sense of serenity and a breath of fresh air. One of the most famous gardens is the Malaysia Putrajaya Botanic Gardens. Besides of it have different types of plants including flowers, ferns and fruits, but there is an orchid garden within the Putrajaya Botanic Gardens. In addition, there is an amphitheater where outdoor performance or events are staged and few lakes with benches near them, ideal for people who just wan to sit and relax.
For your information, all the things have been mentioned are just several of activities both tourist and locals can do at beaches, nature reserves and wildlife sanctuary, parks and gardens. There are many other leisure activities one can do such as shopping sprees, visits historical places and foods. Although Malaysia maybe a country that are still developed, it has a lot to offer in terms of places, people, and culture. This is the cause why so many tourists visit and revisit Malaysia.
